Images, video and files
A message can carry a picture, a video or a document, with or without a caption. Images appear inline straight away; video takes a processing step first.
Attaching an image
The picture button in the composer toolbar opens your files; on the web you can also drag a file onto the composer. The chosen filename appears beside the toolbar with Clear attachment next to it, so you can change your mind before sending, and anything you type in the field goes along as the caption.
An image lands inline in the feed with its caption underneath. Clicking it opens the fullscreen viewer, which has a zoom toggle and a download button that saves the file under its original name. Images may be up to 5 MB; a file over the limit is refused before it uploads, with the limit named.
Attaching a video
Video takes the same button and the same 50 MB ceiling, and MP4, MOV, WebM and M4V are accepted. What is different is what happens after the upload: the message appears at once, but in place of the picture there is a placeholder reading Processing video… with a progress bar, while the file is compressed for smooth playback.
You do not have to wait or refresh. When processing finishes, that row turns into the playable video by itself, muted with a play badge; clicking it opens the fullscreen viewer with proper controls, and the download button there saves the file.
Attaching a document
The same button also accepts PDF, Word and Excel documents up to 10 MB. A document lands as a named, downloadable file chip rather than a preview, with any caption you typed underneath it.
Attachments are part of the message, so an agent in the space receives them exactly as the people do.
